ABOUT
Lauren Finch is a media composer, based in the UK. Her experience spans a range of different forms from narrative and documentary films, to theatre and audiovisual exhibitions - with projects screening at BIFA, BAFTA, and OSCAR qualifying festivals around the world. Recent credits include The Underdog (feature, 2023), Mama's Lovebird (short, 2024) and Monumental? (exhibition, 2023). Lauren also has experience assisting on award-winning TV projects, such as the BBC Documentary Silverback and ITV series The Playboy Bunny Murder. Her music has been selected to appear on an upcoming compilation album of featured artists, released on BAFTA-winning Ólafur Arnalds' (Broadchurch) Opia record label. In 2024, she was selected for the Thrive composer programme, run in partnership with Grammy-winning Lorne Balfe (Mission Impossible, Black Widow), and First Artists Management's C.A.M.P Programme. Lauren has led the Introduction to Film Scoring online HyperTribe course as well as masterclasses for The Cue Tube, and has worked with companies such as Naroth Audio and Inletaudio. She was a Finalist for the MASA Rising Star Award 2024. Lauren has a MA in Professional Media Composition and is a member of WFTV and AWFC.
